Dragon ACEO's
19th April 2012
I have just finished two dragon ACEO's.
They were supposed to be finished for Easter but unfortunately I was ill so they have only just been completed and scanned.
They are painted in watercolour with a little white gouache.
At the moment I am working on some new sketches for some larger paintings. Please feel free to see my Facebook page for current work in progress :)

Autumn Faerie ACEO
23rd March 2012
I have finished a new faerie ACEO. She is painted with watercolours on watercolour paper. There is also a little Winsor & Newton ink on the background.
Measures approximately 2.5" x 3.5".
I am happy with how she turned out, now time to go back and finish some more paintings :)

Faerie Tree ACEO
Faerie Tree ACEO.
Sepia ink and watercolours on watercolour paper.
Measures approximately 2.5" x 3.5". Unfortunately this scan is slightly cropped as I couldn't get it to scan straight. There is a rune (Algiz) amongst the tree roots but you can't really see it.
This is my first ever attempt at painting a tree!!

OOAK Pendant
I decided to make a pendant out of an ACEO watercolour sketch. It is a sketch I did for Ellen Million Graphics Sketch Fest.
I cut the painting to size and put it between two pieces of glass which fit in the silver pendant frame. It measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5".
The sketch was done with watercolour paint, ink and silver gouache on watercolour paper.
This pendant is a true OOAK (one of a kind) piece, there will never be one the same, even nicer as it is an original and not a print. I have signed her on the back.

Sketch Book is in the post!!
Well I did it!!!
My sketch book for The Sketch book Project is finished and I sent it today.
Today was the last day (Jan 31st) to get it sent/postmarked by.
Some of the sketches I am not happy with, some need quite a bit of work if I ever decide to make them into paintings. Other sketches don't need much work before I paint them.
Mine is a proper sketch book, meaning I didn't plan it or make it a gallery of only good sketches. The only differences from my sketch books at home is, I don't do fancy title pages and I don't usually go over my sketches in black ball point pen. I inked over most of my sketches in pen as I was worried about the pencil smudging ( I have no fixative)
I am glad I took part. If I did it again I would start working on my book sooner. I wanted to colour the cover but I ran out of time.

Sketch Fest #22

The Red Queen
Sketch Fest #22 has now been and gone. This time I managed 13 sketches. This is one of my sketches, the prompt was: The Red Queen. I didn't have time to finish her, I think I will though.
For those of you that don't know what Sketch Fest is, this is a description from the site "What's Sketch Fest?
Sketch Fest is a 24 hour creative jam session with artists across the world, brought to you by Ellen Million Graphics. Our audience and fellow artists give us prompts that can be single words, questions, phrases, lyrics, links, collections, creatures, characters or concepts, and we sketch whatever catches our fancy. The only rule? Sketches can only be worked on for one hour.
